Geneva Woods Specialty Pharmacy, provides specialty pharmacy and related clinical services for patients with various chronic and/or complex conditions, through its well-established case management, clinical nursing and pharmacy services. Geneva Woods’ approach is focused on conditions and therapies that require complex infusion or oral treatments. Our Specialty Pharmacy provides a range of services that meet the specific needs of specialty patients. These needs often include payer-issues (including Alaska Medicaid), education, follow-up, physician communication and nurse training.

Pre-Authorization services focus on verifying insurance and assisting with benefit options knowledge of copay assistance and other grants, and payment assistance programs, including Alaska Medicaid and other 3rd party payers benefits our patients greatly.

Integration with Geneva Woods Infusion Pharmacy results in the most immediate and highest level of care to our specialty infusion patients

Specialty nursing services are provided by a Geneva Woods-employed nursing team that is specialized and certified in a variety of therapies, treatments and techniques.

Clinical counseling includes the availability of pharmacists and certified nurses to provide education on the use, administration and storage of medication, as well as in depth knowledge of therapies.

Clinical case management and adherence verification, 360 degree communication with physicians, care coordinators and other providers.

Our Refill Synchronization program coordinates clients, providers and insurance to offer patients streamlined prescription refills. Adherence Packaging is perforated which makes it easy to use while people are on-the-go at vocational and social activities. Retail Pharmacy

Geneva Woods Pharmacy has locations in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. We offer home delivery, and mail out service. Our Worker’s Comp prescription program is one of our specialty services we provide our customers, and our Wasilla location even has a drive through!

We offer custom compounding and our specially trained pharmacists and staff are ready to help you with any custom medication you might need.

Compounding Pharmacy

We understand that the medication doses you require are not always commercially available to fit your needs. At Geneva Woods Pharmacy, we offer a comprehensive compounding service to ensure you receive the drug formulas you require in the specific form and dosage you need them in.

Whether you need your medication in liquid form, as a cream, lozenge or even lollipop, we can supply it for you. We can even prepare special medications for your pets! Let us know, and we can make your dog or cat’s drug into a flavorful biscuit, pate’ or liquid concentrate.

At Geneva Woods Pharmacy’s Prescription Compounding department, we can tailor your prescriptions to the specific strength or dosage you require as well as create new formulations specifically designed to treat your condition. To ensure proper compliance and treatment safety, our clinically trained pharmacists will work closely with your prescribing physician or veterinarian to achieve proper drug development and administration instructions.

Prescriptions for infusion drugs are compounded on the premises. Our state-of-the-art clean room meets all USP 797 compliance standards and is carefully monitored by knowledgeable IV therapy pharmacists and technicians.

Clinical Monitoring

Our dedicated pharmacists monitor patient drug therapies, then review medication profiles, laboratory results and nursing reports. They also communicate with physicians as appropriate to ensure proper dosing.
